Gunpla Review: HGUC Gustav Karl (Unicorn Version)

It's been a while since I built a gunpla. The Tamiya airbrush compressor broke, along with all my motivation to build kits (i have a disassembled hyaku shiki in the parts bin for 4 months now). One of my most anticipated kits I was expecting was the big chonk Gustav Karl, but after seeing the tons and tons of p-bandai merch, I just find it hard to justify supporting Bandai because the last thing I need is another astray, 00 or Strike/Freedom variant while the more obscure designs are relegated to P-Bandai. Besides, all my money these days are going to Marvel Legends (End Game hype is real), and the excellent Transformers merchandise we've been getting. Let's hope we get more quality releases this year (S Gundam ver 1.5 is just lazy). They did just release MG Dynames but really, I wouldn't be too surprised if the released the Virtue as P-Bandai.

He sucks at boycotting products though

Gunpla Review: HG A-Z Gundam

2 posts in a week? Another new kit? How many times have I said here that I'll quit? I guess I can never quit until I can find a replacement for the toy collecting hobby :( Anyway, since I have these things, might as well write about them eh. Here's a review of the HG A-Z Gundam.

He is literally doing nothing at work. Don't empathize with him

Gunpla Review: HGUC Act Zaku [Kycilia's Forces]

After months of avoiding the hobby shops just below my office, I finally caved and went in. Big mistake as I ended up seeing Origin kits that's much cheaper than normal :( So I ended up buying a Zaku I [Kycilia's] as a gift to a friend, and this kit. A kit that I wanted but decided not to since I already have an Origin Zaku II. Here's a review on the retail Act Zaku (Origin version/Kycilia's Forces).

this pic would have looked better if he took his time to actually center the crop...

Gunpla Review: 1/144 Mazinger Z: Mazinger Z Infinity Version

I promised myself I'd quit the hobby... especially now that I've hit 30. And yet here I am, with a new Model Kit from a movie that popped up early this year. It's been released for quite sometime now but was only made available last week locally. Here's a review of probably the most recognizable Japanese Super Robot of all time: Mazinger Z in it's Mazinger Z Infinity guise.

he's even lazier now at 30. Look at those spark effects

Gunpla Review: 1/144 RG Tallgeese 1 ver. EW

The Eagle has landed! I'm not a fan of the execution of the show and the plot really went over my head back when I was a kid. But when it comes to cool antagonist non-Gundams, the Tallgeese is among my favorites. It's a Spartan with a giant gun after all. And now we have a super detailed version of it in a manageable scale! Here's a review on the RG Tallgeese.

plot goes over his head: He was not a very bright kid...

Gunpla Review: 1/144 HGAW OZ-06MS Leo

I want to say I'm happy that my Leos have arrived, but man, work is such a downer... And this is on top of the RG Tallgeese too. Man, I hate it when life bleeds into my imaginary toy world. Anyway, after a long wait, I finally have my hands on my 1st Gunpla Evolution Project. Onwards!

for someone who claims his life is just work, you sure do complain alot about work...

Gunpla Review: 1/144 HGUC RX-79BD-2 Blue Destiny Unit 2 "EXAM"

As of writing this, my pre-ordered Tallgeese and Leo are apparently in transit and will not be arriving until 2 weeks from now. All my efforts to avoid buying toys are really futile at this point, having obtained a Lady Thor and Angela action figures to satisfy my toy itch. On top of that, a hobby shop opened just below my office building... which isn't good for my wallet as I ended up with this: the updated HGUC Blue Destiny Gundam.

If you play Gundam Breaker, this will look familiiar
